In Thailand, some lawyers such as Themis have a notarial qualification granted by the government. These lawyers are registered as notary public lawyers with the Lawyers’ Council of Thailand. They can perform a series of notarial acts such as authenticating the identity of the signatory of documents for Thailand or abroad: contracts, power of attorney, donations, wills, succession, etc. For signature authentication, the signer must be present in person with valid identity documents. He or she must also fully understand the contents of the documents he or she signs, accept their terms, if any, and sign them voluntarily.
